PureHealth, Ma'an partner on dialysis care for Abu Dhabi
Healthcare operator channels dialysis services into a regulated giving platform
PureHealth has committed its medical resources to a long-term strategic partnership with the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma’an, a deal that channels the healthcare group’s specialised services, including dialysis treatment, into Abu Dhabi’s organised social-giving sector. The agreement, signed at Athar+, Abu Dhabi’s first purpose-driven hub for accelerating social impact, which is operated by Ma’an, positions the healthcare operator as a core contributor to the emirate’s regulated philanthropy infrastructure.
His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, and Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, carried out the signing. Under the arrangement, PureHealth will provide specialised dialysis treatment services for community members in need, reinforcing access to critical healthcare. That contribution sits within a broader collaboration covering high-impact social initiatives, including cancer support programmes, alongside future strategic projects.
For Ma’an, the deal adds a major integrated healthcare operator to its portfolio of partners. It also supports the launch of Trailblazer - Ma’an Edition under Athar+, a programme intended to drive social innovation and address priority community needs across Abu Dhabi.
What matters structurally is the fundraising mechanism. Both parties will collaborate on structured fundraising initiatives through Ma’an’s regulated platform, ensuring all contributions are directed in a transparent manner. That oversight carries weight in a sector where donor confidence depends heavily on accountability and traceability of funds.
The agreement also enables the joint development and delivery of healthcare initiatives designed to strengthen access to essential services and improve patient outcomes across Abu Dhabi, in line with priority social and healthcare needs.
Al Ameri framed the partnership as a model for combining capital and expertise for durable returns of a social kind. “Partnerships are fundamental to achieving meaningful and lasting social impact. Our collaboration with PureHealth reflects a shared commitment to improving the quality of life of community members and addressing social priorities through innovative and sustainable initiatives. By bringing together expertise, resources and a common purpose, we can create greater opportunities to support community wellbeing and contribute to Abu Dhabi’s vision of a cohesive and thriving society,” he said.
Asif, whose group operates an integrated Care & Cover healthcare ecosystem, cast the partnership as an extension of PureHealth’s reach beyond its own facilities. “At PureHealth, we believe that healthcare reaches its fullest potential when it extends beyond our hospitals and clinics to reach all members of the communities we serve. This partnership brings together our group’s integrated Care & Cover healthcare ecosystem and Ma’an’s trusted platform for social giving, allowing us to direct medical expertise and resources towards the health priorities that matter most to people across Abu Dhabi and the wider region. Together, we are building a sustainable model that turns collective action into improved health outcomes and a better quality of life for all,” she said.
The collaboration serves two strategic agendas at once. For Ma’an, it advances the Authority’s mission to unite community efforts and direct contributions towards social priorities. For PureHealth, it supports the group’s stated commitment to advancing healthcare and creating positive societal impact through its integrated healthcare ecosystem, effectively extending its operational footprint into community-level health delivery.
Ma’an continues to work closely with public, private and social sector partners to develop innovative solutions addressing community needs, with the stated aim of fostering a culture of participation, giving and shared responsibility across Abu Dhabi. With its long-term horizon and its combination of direct service provision, programme funding and regulated fundraising channels, the PureHealth agreement represents one of the more operationally substantial expressions of that approach to date, tying a major healthcare operator’s capacity directly to the emirate’s social priorities. Whether the model attracts further large-scale corporate contributors to Ma’an’s platform will be a signal to watch.
