Investcorp Backs REDA Gulf in Saudi Safety Services Push

New consortium stake targets a fire safety operator with a full delivery chain

Investcorp has taken a stake in REDA Gulf Holding, the parent company of Saudi fire protection and hazard-control specialist REDA Hazard Control, joining a consortium led by AlTouq Group and Thara Future Investments. The deal, announced on Tuesday, is the latest transaction by the firm’s Saudi Pre-IPO Growth Fund and comes despite rising regional tensions that have done little to dampen investor appetite for Saudi companies.

The operation behind the deal is substantial. Founded in Saudi Arabia in 1986, REDA Gulf Holding has grown into a market leader in fire protection, safety and security solutions, serving a diversified base of blue-chip customers across multiple sectors, including highly demanding industrial environments. Its delivery model runs end to end: product supply and distribution, local assembly and manufacturing, systems installation and ongoing maintenance services. The company employs more than 1,700 skilled engineers and technicians and operates across 19 countries today.

AbdulMohsen AlTouq, Chairman of REDA Gulf Holding, said the company has built an exceptional reputation over nearly four decades as a trusted leader in fire, safety, security and hazard-control solutions. “We are impressed by REDA Gulf Holding’s strong market position, talented workforce, deep customer relationships and proven management team,” he noted, adding that the investment aligns with the company’s strategy of partnering with high-quality businesses. The consortium, he said, looks forward to working alongside its partners and the management team to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.

For Investcorp, the transaction reflects what the firm describes as a strong investment pipeline, a partnership with reputable consortium members and a continued focus on developing high-quality businesses in sectors critical to the region’s economic growth and transformation. The company said the deal also reflects the consortium’s continued confidence in the long-term growth prospects of Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Walid Majdalani, Head of Investcorp Private Equity Emerging Markets, framed the move as consistent with the fund’s operating method. “We are delighted to be part of this consortium and to support a Company that has consistently demonstrated operational excellence and a strong commitment to its customers and suppliers,” he said. According to Majdalani, the investment reflects the strategy of the Saudi Pre-IPO Growth Fund: identifying leading businesses with strong fundamentals and partnering with management teams and like-minded prominent shareholders to accelerate growth and strengthen institutional capabilities. Investcorp, he added, looks forward to supporting REDA Gulf Holding as it builds on its strong market position and captures the opportunities ahead.

The fund itself carries a total target size of $500 million. Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment firm, manages approximately $62 billion in total assets, including those overseen by third-party managers, according to Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, at REDA Gulf Holding, the new shareholding is being read as validation of the company’s track record. Mohamad Ezzat Beck, Chief Executive Officer, said the investment is a strong recognition of what the team has built over the years and reflects the confidence of the new shareholders in REDA Gulf Holding, its people and its future.

Hisham Attar, Founder and Managing Partner of Thara Future Investments, pointed to what the consortium intends to do with its stake. “We look forward to working with the management team to deepen localization, expand into new markets and build a Saudi national champion,” he said. Whether that expansion adds new countries to the company’s existing 19-market footprint will be a measure of the deal’s delivery in the years ahead.
