Off-road riders gain local access to service and sales across Saudi Arabia and Gulf region

Dedicated retail hub brings off-road equipment closer to riders across the Gulf

Segway Powersports opened its first Gulf Cooperation Council flagship store in Riyadh on July 2, giving riders across Saudi Arabia and neighboring markets a dedicated place to see, test and service off-road vehicles without traveling abroad.

The facility, located in the city’s Industrial North district, functions as the company’s primary customer experience and service hub for the entire Gulf region. For recreational users, that means direct access to product displays, test-drive scheduling, after-sales service and promotional events, all under one roof. Until now, those services were spread across a dealer network covering Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia’s appeal as a market is straightforward. Vast desert terrain, an established riding culture and the global profile of the Dakar Rally have combined to produce sustained demand for performance-focused off-road equipment. The Riyadh store consolidates Segway’s regional presence into a single customer-facing facility designed to meet that demand directly.

The store opening coincides with the Saudi launch of the Super Villain SX20T, the most powerful side-by-side vehicle in Segway’s lineup. The machine runs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 235 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. (380 Nm) of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. K-Man 3.0 adjustable suspension, a front locking differential and selectable drive modes round out the specification. The SX20T demonstrated its credentials earlier this year by finishing third in class at the Mint 400 off-road race in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, the full Saudi lineup on display at the Riyadh location spans several vehicle categories: the Snarler ATV family (AT5, AT6 and AT10), the Fugleman utility side-by-side range (UT6 and UT10 Crew), the Villain SX10 sport side-by-side and the newly introduced SX20T. Riders can compare options across performance levels in a single visit rather than navigating multiple dealers.

Ethan Zhang, sales and marketing president of Segway Powersports, framed the store as a long-term commitment to the region’s riders. “Saudi Arabia is one of the most important off-road markets in the Gulf, and the Riyadh flagship gives us a permanent base in the region to connect with customers more closely,” Zhang said. “With the launch of the Super Villain SX20T, we are completing our local lineup and bringing a stronger off-road experience to riders in KSA.”

The practical question for Gulf riders now is how quickly the expanded dealer and retail network Segway has promised will reach beyond Riyadh and into the wider region.
