4,000 Investors Set for Abu Dhabi Property Show 2026

Sovereign capital and a $758bn pipeline fuel ADNEC's three-day real estate show

Abu Dhabi’s property market will take centre stage next week when the International Real Estate and Investment Show (IREIS) 2026 opens at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 10 to 12, 2026. More than 4,000 participants are expected: property buyers, investors, real estate brokers, developers, asset managers and trade visitors. The show ranks among the UAE’s most prominent dedicated real estate sales exhibitions.

The commercial weight behind the event is considerable. Abu Dhabi’s major sovereign wealth funds and state-backed investment vehicles hold an estimated $1.7 trillion in aggregate assets in 2026, reinforcing the emirate’s standing as a leading global centre of sovereign capital. That pool of state money underpins the development pipeline that exhibitors and investors will be looking to tap.

Where exactly is the money concentrated? According to BNC Networks, a construction intelligence provider, the total value of active development projects in Abu Dhabi has surpassed $758.79 billion (Dh2.78 trillion) across planning, development and construction. Oil and gas projects account for a combined $595.67 billion. Transport follows at $238.01 billion, urban construction at $221.56 billion, industrial projects at $151.36 billion and utilities at $130.29 billion. BNC Networks tracks 2,168 projects in the emirate worth a combined $475.41 billion.

Separately, the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre manages ongoing infrastructure and development work exceeding Dh200 billion ($54.5 billion) across 600 active projects. Add the multi-billion dollar mega projects announced by developers in recent months, and this pipeline is expected to create substantial opportunities for buyers, investors, contractors and suppliers alike.

The transaction data points in the same direction. Abu Dhabi recorded Dh95.8 billion through 21,416 registered home sales during the first nine months of 2026, from January to September, while total real estate transaction value for the period reached Dh175.7 billion, according to the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre. Residential stock stands at approximately 409,000 units, with 71,000 additional units projected by 2030 and deliveries peaking in 2028. Between 7,562 and 8,000 residential units are scheduled for completion across 2026, with activity heavily back-loaded toward the second half of the year. The rental market is sizeable too: 233,000 active residential lease contracts were recorded across the emirate, with lease values reaching Dh9.3 billion in the first half of 2026.

Policy ambitions add a further layer. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development aims to attract Dh235 billion into innovation-led sectors, contributing over Dh284 billion to GDP by 2045, as the emirate consolidates its position as an economic powerhouse in the Middle East with massive investment in infrastructure, energy, power, housing, ports, airports, aviation, shipping and logistics.

Against this backdrop, IREIS has positioned itself as a dedicated platform for real estate sales, investment and direct engagement between developers and buyers, with approval from the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi. The three-day exhibition will showcase residential, commercial and mixed-use investment opportunities from Abu Dhabi and across the wider UAE, giving investors access to opportunities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and other emerging markets. The sponsorship roster reflects the commercial interest. De Sousa Holdings comes in as Platinum Sponsor, while Samana Developers, Aqaar and Al Rasikhoon Real Estate partner as Gold Sponsor. Silver Sponsors include Ellington Properties, Dugasta Properties, Zimaya Properties and Capstone Real Estate, and Vertix Holding reaffirms its commitment as Strategic Partner. Abu Dhabi Global Markets joins as Official Knowledge Partner.

Meanwhile, the conference agenda, supported by Conference Partner Knight Frank and Jones Lang LaSalle, will focus on proptech, artificial intelligence and innovation in real estate and construction, themes aimed squarely at operators assessing where returns and efficiency gains lie. IREIS 2026 will also host a Citizenship Expo Pavilion highlighting immigration, permanent residency and citizenship by investment across various Caribbean and European countries, organised with the aim of facilitating the dual citizenship process for numerous high-net-worth individuals from around the globe. Whether the emirate’s sovereign capital and development pipeline translate into deals on the ADNEC show floor next week will be the question investors watching the market will want answered.
