For anyone flying out of the Emirates tonight, particularly on regional routes or to India, checking flight status before heading to the airport has become essential. Some flights to Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have already been cancelled or remain subject to schedule changes, while major UAE carriers, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia and flydubai, continue operating. At the heart of the diplomatic turbulence is the Strait of Hormuz, the waterway critical to the region’s energy supplies and international shipping. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi rejected US President Donald Trump’s assertion that America maintains “total control” over the strategic passage, accusing the US of repeated intelligence failures.
