Five Iron Golf will open a 30,000-square-foot venue at Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island in mid-August 2026, giving Abu Dhabi residents and visitors a new indoor golf and social entertainment destination that caters to golfers and non-golfers alike.
The space centers on 12 Trackman-powered golf simulators, supported by multiple bars, private event spaces, and a 12,000-square-foot waterfront terrace with lawn games and a terrace bar. Five Iron Abu Dhabi is designed as an all-day destination, covering practice sessions, lessons, leagues, corporate events, celebrations, and live entertainment. Founding memberships are currently on sale ahead of the opening, with limited availability.

The Yas Island location places the venue within minutes of Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Arena, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Yas Links Golf Course. Disney and the Sphere from Las Vegas are also coming to the island in the near future, reinforcing the waterfront’s role as a growing hub for regional tourism and everyday recreation.

What sets this venue apart from a standard simulator facility is its deliberate design rooted in local culture. Commissioned artwork by Rabab Tantawy, Anna Tangles, Kav Ahangar, Ibrahim Zaki, Fink 22, and Sneak Hotep spans Formula 1-inspired design, Arabic calligraphy, geometric installations, and contemporary street art, creating an environment that celebrates UAE culture and creativity rather than simply transplanting a foreign brand.

The Abu Dhabi launch follows Five Iron Golf’s wider international growth. Investors backing the Abu Dhabi venue include Coral Tree Partners, North Castle Partners, Callaway Golf, and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments.
Whether the Yas Bay location can build a genuine local community around the sport, beyond drawing tourists already on the island, may prove the more telling measure of its long-term impact on how Abu Dhabi residents engage with golf and social entertainment.
